TOP 10 ANGLOPHONE ARTIST IN 2012

Now before you start wondering why your name isn't on the list. look through the list and see any artist who you think did less than you in the past year. Various factors were considered before drawing up this List and this is Breeze Nations classification. You are free to do yours.

10 MELCUBE
Some people may find it strange to see MMMG's CEO on this list but The Jay Z sounding artist  has made alot of efforts this year. He came out this year releasing a dope album entitled LOTUS SP which was pretty tight. He went further to release a stunning video SAY IT directed By Mr Adrenaline.Melcube closed the year by giving us a mixtape entitled SEE YOU IN MY NIGHTMARE. What more can you ask of him...

9 MD THE RAP MONSTA
The Trackzone Boss kept coming with single after single through out the year and performing in alot of shows in and around the south West region of Cameroon. Whether it was on the tracks of fellow label mates like Da Breeze or on his non stopping collaborations with Adele we kept on hearing the phrase I SWALLOW SPIT and oga we did swallow spit when you released the NO CONCEPT video. With all this done it is safe to put him at number 9 with no arguments.

8 DENZYL
He told the ladies Leave am so and  papa trust me they ko lef am so.Denzyl had a splendid year, The peak being when he released the Jovi written song LEAVE AM SO and Video produced by Cameroons Clarence Peters FEB 16th. The song was received warmly around the country. He equally signed the Buea wonder Fluri boys and managed to make the whole country think he did a song with Wiz kid..now before you start raining judgmental comments on this listen to the proof.... LISTEN TO OLE BY WIZKID THATS THE ORIGINAL SONG. Apart from that he and his label RED EYE deserve an applause.

7 ADAH
He found a way to make all the Nyango's fall in love with him. He made us envy his Yokoko video and his number one song Nyango is still in the playlist on every girls phone. The bamenda born and raised RnB star had quite an eventful year from magazine covers to exciting show around the country. The oftenly described as very polite and down to earth star Adah certainly takes in number 7 this year by our classification a little bit upward but we are still waiting for the major success of that album. We salute you and your Label G3.

6 FLURI BOYS
These new comers pratically shut down any show they were involved in this year. Even if you are a veteran you don't want to go head on with these two anywhere close to Buea. Its Tuesday but i still hear the Song Thursday Night Playing on Every cell phone and radio staion around south West. The group made up of Jay Milly and Rich B have gone a long way from trying to fit in to be outstanding. Bigs up to you and we are waiting for the next hit hopefull not Friday Night this time.

5 MAGASCO
Mumak signee and promoter of Ayaba hotel (lol to that) quite simply had an amazing run. he practically changed the game from the typical sounding Nigerian drum rolls you hear on every song. Home boi hit us with Lineloba and we have been humming the tune ever since.I dont know the meaning of the hook and honestly i don't even care. The girls Love it, the Guys envy it, and above all he has a Febuary 16 shot Video. Come on, What do you expect. Although his second single fell short, the name Magasco is easily recognized anywhere when it comes to music in anglophone cameroon. I got the owner of Hilton hotel on line for you maybe you will call his hotel in you next song.Big up dude

4 RHYTHMS
Them say your Love di make me crase like Indian Hem. Just in case you though a Nigerian sang the song that's a big red button on you. The Afro Beat Duo shot into full force with the release of the song Honey moon played around the country. I must admit though that the song is more popular than the name because a lot of people don't know the authors of the song. well i have saved you the trouble. through out the year they have been in countless shows and have worked with a wide range of artist. I had the opportunity to listen to their forth coming album and i must admit its really tight. They also own the NO HITS NO RECORDS record label based in Buea. The list of their achievements keep coming but we have to move to the three kings of the year. I salute rhythms please make something for the guys too we don tire love songs.
3 STEVESLIL
Also known as Rn B tiger or Nguti boy is an old name when it comes to showbiz in Cameroon. When he is not blogging on nexdim empire or doing political work, He is either making a hit song with 19 year old DeeCy  or with Zee Lex. He had two hits this year namely Panjo produced by DeeCy and Ebangha Produced By Zee Lex. he equally shot the video for Buy you shack featuring Kay. There wasn't a mega show were Steveslil wasnt mentioned he kept on rocking stages around the country. Only one thing left to say ...Boi  i must be like You

2 WEST DON
It is a common thing to find people saying when u sing Moral and educative songs you will become successful in music. while it looks logical and reasonable, statistics have proven that majority of the songs that hit are the opposite. Ajebota went all the way to tell us all the types of girls West don has had sex with and the public seems to be loving it because the song is massive and it has received very good radio and street play. West don has also been spotted all over the country attending concerts and thrilling audiences with his voice and actions. i got to recipe to my next hit. im going to sing a song about having sex and occupy west don's spot. Bravo K town represent

1 JOVI
Even a three months baby will agree with me on this one because the first song he probably heard this year was DON 4 QWAT.. I honestly don't know what to say because everybody has been writing about homeboi. He had an two amazing videos which were received well. His feature with Sidney on the song went futher the show the level of maturity in his flow. when he is not topping charts he is producing hits for his label mates and affiliates. Home closed the year by organizing a crazy show in Buea. let me state here that Buea is one off the hardest towns to pull off a concert and King Jovi successfully did that. He revitalised hope in cameroons hip hop when we were almost giving up and he has proven that you dont have to copy to make it you just have to find your style. ITS MORE THAN SAFE TOSAY JOVI WAS THE KING OF THE YEAR AND I PRAY HE MAINTAINS THE CROWN.

It is worth noting that they were others who equally had an impressive year like the first lady of Mumak, Dr Sley, Sidney, Da Breeze, Marpe, Menko, Hood fame and a bunch of other artist. note should be taken that the article does not state the greatest artist. they just made the most out of 2012 and we pray you do so in 2013.

  2. Big ups and kudos to DA Breeze Nation. Some will judge you wrong and some will judge you right. But the most consistent thing about success is the inconsistency of failure. Keep doing your work and we pray God gives you the strength this 2013 to keep posting bc Red Eye Entertainment has a lot in store for the Cameroon music and Entertainment industry. Together we gonna build this BITCH ! Am pleased to see both of our artist( Veteran-Denzyl and Fluri Boys on countdown) We just rounded up with the Maga-Jam Episode One concert video documentary done by one and only Video graphic monster Feb16th. i think u be the first to have it on blog shortly......

  5. Controversial classification, but I think some will agree with me that Adah, Magasco and Denyzl have progressed further than the likes of Steveslil, Rythms and Fluri Boys (no disrespect). I believe the quality and popularity of their music videos should be taken into consideration. This is evident with the cases of Adah, Magasco and Denyzl, while artists like Steveslil, Rythms and Fluri Boys have not managed to produce a music video of reputable quality, let alone one of humongous popularity. Let praise be given where praise is due. Jovi rocks!

    1. boi that engish pass me. but he question is who did more? or better yet who's song topped the chat... adah and denzyl and magasco had crazy videos no doubt but the popularity of their songs dont measure to that of these other artist. its not only about videos. Museba has one of the best videos out rightnw but the song tho (lol).... i respect ur opinion as a fellow blogger but thats how i THINK the year was
