Psquare has signed a major deal with multinational music company, Universal Music Group (UMG), South Africa.
Peter Okoye, one of the duo, made this known on social network, Twitter.
“Psquare has been signed to Universal Music Group. Baba God has done it,” Peter twitted.
He went further to exclaim that “Psquare has gone universal and the fans made it so possible. Thank you Lord”.
The signing took place on Thursday in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Universal Music Group is the parent company of Akon’s Konvict Musik
and Kon Live Distribution labels. The duo were signed to Akon’s Konvict
Music in December 2011.
According to reports, the deal is a South Africa distribution deal covering past and current Psquare catalogues.
Universal Music Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of French media conglomerate, Vivendi.
